"It can be difficult and risky to build a new home when one lives 164 miles from the site; however, after interviewing several of the well known builders in Corsicana, it was clear that we wanted Hal Prater to be our builder. He took his time to visit with us about his background and ideas, and he showed us some of his homes in various stages from just beginning to almost finished. He took our project from no blueprints to move-in on time. During the build, he would talk with us by phone a few times/week and would be here with us on the weekends when we came up to see the progress. He was easy-going when it came to changes along the way, and what we really liked was his ability to help us with the design (interior and exterior). Fortunately, he was also able to dissuade us from ideas that we would later regret! Finally, Hal Prater is a builder fully trained, skilled, experienced, and talented in creating wonderful homes for his customers. We highly recommend Prater Builders!
"Dear Hal, I would like to take this opportunity to thank you for making the building process such a positive experience for my family and I. Building a new home can either be one of life’s worst experiences or one of life’s best adventures. Working with you was clearly the latter. I always appreciated your professionalism and expertise in decisions and directions that needed to be taken; your warmth and honesty added value to every discussion. Your great humor worked well in keeping things in the right perspective. You were easy to communicate with especially as this was a long distance association. You use technology effectively and in a timely manner and were patient when we needed time to consider options. I especially appreciated your problem solving ability and “rationale” in those decisions. As I live more and more in the home, I am more and more convinced the choices were the right ones. Your subcontractors were of the highest caliber and I know this home will withstand the test of time and age gracefully. You have been an incredible resource to me as I learn to navigate through this new community. Yes, I admit, I throw your name around because I always get a positive reaction. You are clearly well respected within the area - which speaks to years of building quality homes. Again, thank you for all that you have done to make it so incredible. I am always happy to have you show it."
"I've known Hal Prater both personally and professionally for many years. Being in the real estate industry myself, I've had the opportunity to call on Prater Builders from time to time during transactions. I've always enjoyed dealing with Mr. Prater, as his "can-do" attitude has earned him an impeccable reputation for being honest and hard working in his field. Prater Builders is known for their high standards and for making customer satisfaction their goal with each property they build… all visible in their "finished product". Hal Prater is a highly respected builder and developer in our area and I would strongly recommend him to anyone considering a new build in and around Corsicana and Richland Chambers Lake."
